Work Injury Lawyer/Associate

Maurice Blackburn is seeking a Work Injury Lawyer/Associate to join their team in Dandenong on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be part of an experienced group of specialists who are passionate about extending justice to everyone who needs it. A key focus of this role will be to provide a seamless client experience, supporting clients to achieve favourable outcomes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, diligent, and client-focused lawyer with Work Cover experience. You will have sound legal technical skills and be experienced in managing your own file load, with demonstrated decision-making and analytical skills.

  • Meet with clients, take instructions
  • Review and analysis of records
  • Draft written communications to clients
  • Brief medical experts, allied health professionals
  • Draft court documents
  • Attend court for procedural hearings
  • Brief and liaise with barristers

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2-5 years post-admission experience
  • Experience working within a personal injuries environment ideally with a background in Work Cover / Work Injury matters
  • A strong knowledge of relevant procedural rules relevant to personal injury practice in Victoria
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to file management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience providing high-level client service
  • Experience working in a high-volume work environment
