Job Opportunity:

A fantastic chance for an experienced Accounts Clerk to assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with Accounting tasks, focusing on Accounts Payable and a bit of Accounts Receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile supplier invoices and address variances in a timely manner.
  • Process employee expense reports, including credit card and personal claims.
  • Distribute incoming invoices for approval, coding, and processing.
  • Match purchase orders against stock orders and process payments.
  • Manage electronic funds transfers (EFT) and bank payments for local and overseas creditors.
  • Set up and modify vendor accounts in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate outstanding amounts.
  • Record and manage archived documents.
  • Prepare and process monthly stock-in-transit values.
  • Amortise prepayments and prepare general accrual entries monthly.
  • Complete reconciliations for all Accounts Payable balance sheet accounts in the corporate general ledger account reconciliation system.
  • Process EFT inward payments and credit card acceptances.
  • Invoice customers for scrap sales.

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification or equivalent desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
