Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant maintenance, be proficient in using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and possess excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for daily servicing, repairs, and maintenance of plant and equipment as scheduled and planned by the Maintenance Planner. They will also assist other team members as required and contribute to the improvement of plant processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily maintenance and repair of plant and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Use of CMMS to record history, book hours, spares usage, and close out work orders.
  • Active involvement in plant improvements and projects.
  • Work safely by maintaining a proactive safety attitude, applying awareness, risk assessment practices, and following company processes.
  • Carry out planned maintenance as scheduled by the Site Maintenance Planner using sound engineering practices and experience gained in a manufacturing facility.
  • Assist other team members as required, particularly when the work requires two people, fabrication, or heavy-duty mechanical skills.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualification, e.g., Mechanical Fitter & Turner.
  • Restricted Electrical licence desirable.
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing, and maintaining Feed Milling/Flour Milling equipment preferred.
  • Experience using CMMS.
  • Strong communication skills with an all-inclusive approach to dealing with peers and operations personnel at all levels.
