Product Financial Controller

As a Product Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely financial reporting of Global Markets business activities.
The position involves maintaining a strong control framework around financial reporting and developing relationships with Front Office stakeholders to promote our team as a trusted business partner.
You will be responsible for managing product control function for Interest Rates & Derivatives desks, reviewing daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L results and analysis, leading junior team members, partnering with Front Office on strategic initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity interfacing the general ledger, reviewing balance sheet substantiation and month end close, preparing data for statutory and regulatory reports, and improving efficiency and controls, adding value to the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A background in accounting
- At least 2 years' experience in product control or financial control
- Experience controlling traded financial products
- Working knowledge of Murex trading system
- Relevant accounting standards
- Financial reporting framework and technical skills
- Analytical tools like VBA, SQL, Tableau Prep, PowerBI, Alteryx
- Problem-solving, multitasking, meeting deadlines, and commercial acumen
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or equivalent discipline
- Accounting qualification like CPA, CA, CFA
