Job Title: General Manager, Capital Delivery

Seqwater is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the successful delivery of a significant and complex portfolio of capital investment projects and programs.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership role in a growing team, responsible for leading the delivery of a large program of complex capital projects across large civil infrastructure programs and projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian standards, contract law, quality assurance, environmental management, and workplace health and safety, with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of a significant and complex portfolio of capital investment projects and programs
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure Seqwater meets the water security, water supply, and flood mitigation needs for the South-East Queensland community and the State Government
  • Grow and develop a high-performing team, and contribute to the development of new systems, ways of working, and transformation projects to support project delivery
  • Navigate complex and sensitive matters, and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, commercial, and the community

Seqwater is the Queensland Government Bulk Water Supply Authority, responsible for delivering safe, secure, and cost-effective bulk water supply for 3.6 million people across South East Queensland.

The organization owns and operates a $11 billion asset portfolio from the NSW border to the Toowoomba ranges and north of Gympie, including dams, weirs, water treatment plants, the Gold Coast Desalination Plant, and hundreds of kilometres of water infrastructure.
