Job SummaryThis is a 4-year fixed-term apprenticeship where you will work closely with a team to develop operational skills and knowledge across all elements of the Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance and repairs on City of Newcastle assets, focusing on civil construction work.
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide maintenance and repairs.
- Pursue on-the-job learning and structured training to achieve competency in the Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade.
- Achieve your Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- Combine on-the-job learning and training.
- Enjoy a 38-hour working week with flexible work arrangements.
- Accrue 4 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave plus 2 additional paid public holidays.
- Receive 17.5% annual leave loading as a yearly payment.
