Job OverviewThis role is based at our Brisbane headquarters and focuses on managing occupational health and hygiene risks across both national and international sites.
The successful candidate will create and implement tailored standards, programs, and technical guidance, as well as enhance organisational capability through collaboration and coaching.
Main Responsibilities- Compliance and Governance
Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and local legislative requirements related to occupational health and hygiene.
Risk ManagementOversee the process and outcomes of occupational exposure assessments and influence operational leaders to implement risk controls.
Capability DevelopmentSupport the development and implementation of monitoring and sampling plans, build organisational capability through coaching HSER teams and operational leaders, and develop competency requirements and training.
Incident InvestigationSupport the investigation of workplace exposure standard exceedances and other occupational health and hygiene incidents and illnesses.
Provider ManagementManage providers to ensure services meet required standards and comply with contractual and legislative obligations.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have a thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative compliance standards and be an adaptable, innovative thinker with a results-oriented approach.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to mentor and collaborate with senior stakeholders and lead investigations.
Your ability to proactively work autonomously, along with your resilience and eagerness to learn, will be crucial to your success in this position.
Requirements- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Hygiene, Science, Engineering, Allied Health, or OHS & Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH)
- Experience in incident investigations using methodologies such as Taproot, ICAM, or similar
The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
