As a professional in the field of events management, we are seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our team.

This is a dynamic role that involves coordinating events at Melbourne Zoo, a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in hospitality and/or events management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client management, event planning, and operational setup to deliver successful functions
  • Creating proposals, quotes, detailed event orders, menus, floor plans, and invoicing
  • Cooperating with operations and kitchen teams regarding handing over functions to ensure seamless delivery
  • Conducting follow-up correspondence with clients and responding to feedback
  • Working directly with preferred suppliers as required
  • Providing a warm, friendly, and welcoming service to customers and clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in hospitality and/or events environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in event management software or strong IT skills
