Field Service Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high level of technical expertise and excellent communication skills.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Support, repair, and maintain robotic instrumentation in the field by troubleshooting and repairing Hamilton equipment.
  • Install new equipment and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Regularly commute to and from customer sites with the ability to navigate within the Brisbane region; follow traffic laws and ensure on-time arrival at customer sites.
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures to identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high desire for quality and demonstrated experience working in the field as well as in a corporate setting.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material and learn new robotic operating systems.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License and successfully complete a motor vehicle history check.
  • Must have personal, reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance that can safely transport necessary equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited, not-for-profit university or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
