Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team in Queensland.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to take ownership of a diverse portfolio and deliver tailored insurance solutions to SME and commercial clients.

About the Role

This full-time role involves managing a medium-sized portfolio of clients, primarily across Business and Public Liability. You will be responsible for handling renewals, endorsements, and day-to-day servicing, as well as delivering strategic insurance advice and negotiating with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms.

  • You will have the flexibility to shape the role around your experience and work closely with a supportive leadership team who back your development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  1. Manage a diverse portfolio of SME and commercial clients, providing tailored insurance solutions and delivering exceptional customer service.
  2. Handle client renewals, endorsements, and day-to-day servicing, ensuring seamless communication and efficient delivery.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to provide bespoke insurance advice.
  4. Negotiate with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms, identifying opportunities for growth and cross-selling.
  5. Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive business success.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tier 2 qualification (Tier 1 preferred or highly regarded)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in broking or account management
  • Solid understanding of SME and commercial general insurance
  • Confident, clear communicator with strong relationship skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
