About the Role:
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies to capture large-scale energy infrastructure opportunities.
  • Forge strategic partnerships, foster client relationships, and collaborate with regulators and market operators to drive project success.
  • Lead bid preparation, tendering, and investment proposal development, especially under Public-Private Partnership frameworks.
  • Oversee negotiation of commercial agreements, risk allocation, and contract terms to ensure project viability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions, leveraging expertise in engineering, law, finance, and construction.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory developments to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
  • A strong electrical engineering background is highly preferred.
  • 8-15 years' experience in investment, business development, or commercial roles within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience across PPPs, project finance, and large-scale project development from origination to financial close.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian electricity market, transmission infrastructure, and permitting processes.
  • Experience engaging with Transmission System Operators/ Distribution System Operators, regulatory bodies, and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
