Claims and Revenue Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team at Cumberland Hospital. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient billing and supporting debt recovery processes, maintaining timely revenue flow across the district.

  • Delivering accurate and timely billing services.

  • Following up on lodged claims for debt recovery.

  • Supporting billing queries across the district.

  • Assisting with revenue-related follow-up actions.

  • Contributing to consistent financial processes.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Understanding of Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS), Revenue, private health insurance & other billing arrangements.

  • Experience in utilising PowerBilling Revenue Collection (PBRC), Revenue Portal, i.PM (Patient Administration System), Microsoft Office applications, Content Management and Powerchart.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks, considering the impact on others to achieve outcomes.

  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with people from a range of professional and social backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated high level of analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure the integrity, reliability, accuracy of data and data systems.

  • Capacity to work independently and as an effective team member with the ability to facilitate and support the team to achieve required outcomes.

  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
