Project Engineer – Civil

The Inland Rail Project is a strategic infrastructure development spanning 1600km from Brisbane to Melbourne. The project involves upgrading existing rail track, enhancing it for double stacking, and constructing new standard gauge links including viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings, and bridges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and compliant delivery of project works by facilitating adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery team and broader Inland Rail project team to ensure a consistent, compliant, and strategic approach to delivery planning and documentation.
  • Assist with administration, engagement, and compliance with third-party agreements with key project stakeholders.
  • Administer property and access agreements, monitor contractor performance and progress, and facilitate communication across teams.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors to achieve project objectives and monitor overall program progress.
  • Prepare documentation, correspondence, and submissions to gain approvals internally and externally.
  • Manage contracts including assessment and estimating tasks, validation of claims, and finalization of contract documentation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project management, engineering, or a related field.
