About the Role

As a Service Leader in our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the community. You will lead and mentor a dynamic team, setting a standard for best practices in case management, particularly within the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of support workers towards creating positive outcomes for clients by embedding person-centred practices.
  • Provide regular supervision, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations to support workers and other direct reports in achieving their professional goals.
  • Emphasise person-centred goals and outcomes, engage in reflective practice, and effectively manage associated risks.
  • Ensure that clients' personal care, support, and health needs are met in accordance with applicable standards and regulations within the service stream.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively promote the services offered by the program to clients, their families, and the broader community to enhance awareness and cooperation.
  • Oversee the operational management of services, which includes budget management, program development, compliance adherence, and record-keeping.
  • Manage vacancy rates to ensure service continuity and availability for clients in need.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in a community or human services organisation.
  • Knowledge of funding standards, guidelines, and legislation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs, reports, and correspondence.
  • High-level communication, influencing, liaison, and negotiation skills.
  • Established problem-solving and conflict management skills.
