Community Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual who wants to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people in their community.

About This Role

This is an opportunity to provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live independently and stay connected with their community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Offer general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations, and companionship.
  • Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping, and social outings.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (desirable but not essential).
  • Exceptional communication skills, a can-do attitude, empathy for, and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
  • Patience, a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families, and a personable approach.
  • Reliability, responsiveness, efficiency, confidence, and proactivity.
