About the Role

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Splunk Monitoring Engineer to join our Cloud, Data, and Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and automation solutions using Splunk, BMC Helix, and other monitoring platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement monitoring and automation solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of our infrastructure and database layers.
  • Manage and maintain Cuscal instances of BMC's Helix Services Platform, including the Discovery, CMDB, and AIOps components.
  • Ensure the CMDB is continually updated, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
  • Create and maintain associated processes and ensure adherence to them across the enterprise.
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting standards, ensuring Engineering and other relevant teams are aware of these and adhere to them.
  • Automate monitoring and alerting of events and liaise with clients and client-facing staff to ensure monitoring and alerting requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in an enterprise heterogeneous environment, responsible for delivery of highly available IT services to a medium to large customer base.
  • Experience managing, maintaining, and enhancing monitoring, alerting, and CMDB platforms, preferably with Splunk.
  • Experience with configuring and implementing monitoring platforms, such as Splunk.
  • Experience with creating, managing, maintaining, enhancing, and following processes.
  • Desirable: Experience and Certification in ITIL processes for Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation, and Continual Service Improvements.
