
Independent Living Assistant

We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in the Northern Rivers area. Our goal is to provide high-quality care and support services that empower individuals to live independently and achieve their full potential.
The role involves traveling between clients' homes, assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centered care and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, traveling to medical appointments
- Supporting customers in the use of aids including standing or walking frames and wheelchairs
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
- Performing work under the supervision of a Care Coordinator
- Services are generally between the hours of 6am-6pm, Monday to Friday
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Australian Federal Police Clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
- Smartphone with internet access
