Logistics Expert

  • Our Logistics Leader oversees, leads and optimizes logistics planning and execution processes, focusing on safety, quality, timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • They manage weekly deliveries of turbine components to project sites, coordinating a team of contractors and logistics service providers.
  • They continually optimize quarterly business cases given changing dynamics and communicate delivery progress to business leadership.
  • They support the commercial and proposal teams in negotiation phases with transportation management plans, road and site surveys, site and port inspections, route approvals and stakeholder management with government bodies.
  • They develop portfolios of transportation and service providers utilized in delivery execution.
  • They lead the sourcing of logistics service providers to include trucks and storage facilities; work with logistics service providers to achieve execution excellence for the project's portfolio.
  • They provide cost estimates during sales phases, negotiate rates with logistics service providers and ensure budget meeting during execution.
  • They apply lean and continuous improvement methodologies and concepts, maintaining key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university or college with coursework in engineering, statistics, business administration, supply chain and logistics, or data analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain, materials planning, project management, and/or logistics planning.
  • Prior experience in project/logistics environments.
  • Strong data analytics skills and proficiency with relevant digital logistics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful cross-functional programs within complex matrix organizations.
