Key Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security GRC Officer to strengthen our governance, risk, and compliance practices while providing hands-on technical security expertise.

This role will support major defence projects for a global leader in safety-critical control centres.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an individual with experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security policies and frameworks (ISM, PSPF, DSP, ISO 27001, NIST 800).
  • The ideal candidate will conduct thorough risk assessments, threat modelling, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Providing security architecture guidance and ensuring controls are embedded by design is crucial to this role.
  • We require someone who can implement and improve technical controls (IAM, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management).
  • Leading incident analysis and corrective actions to reduce risk and improve resilience is essential.
  • Advise project and engineering teams and provide leadership to junior staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A proven cyber security background across GRC, operations, and architecture is mandatory.
  • The successful candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of IAM, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, SIEM, and Network Security tools.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP or CISM) are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and project teams are necessary.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are also required.
