Job Description

This is a senior leadership role that involves leading a team to deliver network planning analysis, insights, and technical advisory services for Victoria's Declared Shared Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical services to integrate network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network.
  • Oversee network and system performance monitoring to strengthen power system resilience.
  • Provide expert technical advice to support the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration.
  • Build and empower a high-performing team, managing risk, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships and deliver action plans that support strategic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess appropriate tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, as well as significant industry experience in power system planning with strong knowledge of power system modelling, analysis, and primary plant design.

  • Demonstrated capability in project planning, reporting, and delivery, ensuring timely completion to agreed quality standards.
  • Advanced consulting and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders and negotiate complex technical matters.
  • In-depth understanding of the political, legal, and regulatory environment of the energy sector, including obligations and jurisdictional roles.
