As a key player in this transformation, Seqwater is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Management Professional to join their team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enabling business success through leadership of the Commercial and Contract Management function in the delivery of the capital program.

The successful candidate will lead the transformation of Seqwater's commercial and contract management functions, ensuring best value is achieved for the company and its stakeholders. With a focus on partnering approaches and value optimisation, this professional will work on high-profile water infrastructure projects, helping to secure Water for Life for generations to come.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of specialists to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Developing strategies, practices, and procedures to enhance the commercial management of major capital contracts.
  • Providing guidance on developing commercial frameworks and contracting models required for project delivery.
  • Leading the planning, development, and implementation of fit-for-purpose commercial and contract arrangements that drive value for money across capital projects.
  • Managing commercial and performance risks to facilitate successful project delivery.
  • Driving functional transformation through system, process, and capability improvement to ensure agility and adaptability.
  • Leading the negotiation of various agreements and resolving contract conflicts or issues that impact effective service delivery or create undue risk.
  • Cultivating strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will be working on some of the most significant water infrastructure projects in the industry, helping to shape the future of water across Southeast Queensland. To succeed, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary commercial and contract management approaches.
  • Strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking and hands-on operational execution.
  • Significant experience leading commercial and contract management functions in a large, complex environment.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with exceptional stakeholder management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilise data for evidence-based decision making.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Ability to drive improved enterprise outcomes through collaborative approaches and senior management engagement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, legal, or related disciplines.
