Gender Equity Specialist

This role plays a critical part in driving change and promoting gender equality within the community. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.
- Develop and implement comprehensive gender equity and inclusion strategies that foster a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Promote positive attitudes and behaviour change at all levels to prevent family violence and all forms of violence against women.
- Enhance internal and community awareness and understanding of the drivers of family violence and all forms of violence against women, including prevention strategies.
The position will also oversee key initiatives under the Municipal Health & Wellbeing Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement evidence-based gender equity and inclusion strategies to drive organisational change.
- Culture Change: Promote a culture of respect and inclusivity across all levels of the organisation and community.
- Awareness and Education: Enhance internal and community awareness and understanding of the drivers of family violence and all forms of violence against women.
What You'll Need:
- Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing gender equity and inclusion strategies.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as social work, sociology or human resources.
