About our Gender Equality Initiative:

Our council is committed to promoting gender equality and preventing family violence across all areas of service delivery. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead this initiative, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive change.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a whole-of-council approach to gender equity, including developing strategies, programs, and practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. This role also involves increasing awareness and understanding of the drivers of family violence and all forms of violence against women, as well as promoting prevention strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing gender equity strategies and initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to embed a gender lens and intersectional approach across all areas of service delivery
  • Increasing internal and community awareness and understanding of the drivers of family violence and all forms of violence against women
