About the Role
">The Corporate Information Services branch at the Department of Education, Western Australia strives to enhance the quality, accessibility, reliability and security of information in support of the education system. This encompasses records management, system administration, Freedom of Information (FOI) and legal disclosure of information, as well as Library and switchboard services.
">The Job Description
">The Information Access Manager leads and manages FOI and information access and disclosure activities that impact government and provide solutions for consideration by the Department. They cultivate a culture of continuous improvement to maximize best practice for FOI and information access and disclosure across the Department through example and education.
">This position involves managing and controlling the activities of the Information Access Team, providing leadership, training and guidance to staff to ensure a high-quality customer experience that aligns with the Department's values and community expectations. Within this role, you will negotiate and conciliate information access outcomes in line with the Department and community interests.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
