**About the role**:
This role is responsible for installing and maintaining network and optical equipment along with ensuring customer services are optimised by coordinating the day-to-day management of fibre patching and associated activities.
This important position will also cater to carrier partners establishing and maintaining presence at our facilities.
Other responsibilities include:
- Monitor and perform ongoing maintenance on fibre optic and network equipment.
- Coordinate and assist customers performing fault finding activities.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and function as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Provide expert data centre connectivity advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and update network topology information as required.
- Respond to alarms and alerts generated from monitoring tools.
- Logging and maintaining asset and configuration management information relating to Data Centre networking equipment.
- Building and maintaining relationships with carriers and vendors.
- Be required to work independently as well as part of a team and across multiple regions.
- Mentor and impart knowledge to other members of the team.
- Work collaboratively towards yours and your team's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as agreed with company leadership.
- Attend and contribute to appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Function as part of a team that occasionally requires work to be completed outside of normal business hours.
- Act in an ambassadorial capacity for the company.

- Assist to build out and champion the success of the team.
**About you**:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience working within Data Centres or with Commercial Carriers
- Fibre cabling experience
- Experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.
- Documentation and compliance skills
- Experience working with ITIL
- Industry related networking or cabling certifications desirable
- AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance or above desirable
**Essential**:
- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain, an NV1 Security Clearance
