Our organisation is dedicated to providing in-home support and community care services that cater to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.

These services are designed to promote independence and improve the overall quality of life for our clients. We cater to those requiring short-term assistance after hospital discharge or living in Supported Living Accommodation.

As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, including assistance with showering and bathing. You will also assist with domestic tasks, manual handling, food preparation, medication assistance, activities of daily living and skills building, transport to medical appointments and social outings.

Key Requirements:

  • Complex health care experience required
  • Peg management, manual handling, catheter/stoma care, bowel behaviour management, complex mental health experience, challenging behaviour/behaviour management, ASD, palliative care, showering & personal care assistance, person-centered approach

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • An understanding of delivering care in a person-centered way
  • Availability and reliability
  • Certificate III in disability, aged care, and community care or higher
  • Ability to problem-solve and keep strictly to the routine experience in working with people who have complex high care needs
  • Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types
  • Ability to fulfill shift duties and have excellent time management skills
  • Ability and understanding of infection control procedures
  • Have an appropriate visa to work in Australia
  • Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • Smartphones with the ability to install apps
  • 6 months minimum experience delivering highly complex personal care
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate
  • Drivers license and own fully insured transport
  • Have an empathetic and understanding approach to providing care to people with high complex needs
  • Completion of the NDIS new worker module or willingness to complete as part of the induction process
  • Completion of the COVID-19 e-learning module
  • Provide Vaccination Certificate
