We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Planning Expert to join our team at WSP Global Inc. as a Senior Transport Planner. As a key member of our Planning and Mobility team, you will play a critical role in delivering technical excellence in transport planning and advisory services on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality transport planning and advisory services on projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide integrated transport advisory and planning services to government and private clients
- Develop and implement sustainable transport solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the community
- Conduct transport demand analysis and modeling to inform project decisions
- Prepare and present complex technical reports and data to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Post-Graduate qualification in Regional and Town Planning, Urban Development, Development Economics, Civil and Transportation Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-10 years' experience in transport planning
- Demonstrated understanding of active and public transport policy, strategy, and planning
- Commitment to delivering technical excellence in transport planning and advisory services
- Understanding of good practices in integrated land use and transport planning, and applicable guidelines and tools
- Strong interest in sustainable transport policy, strategy, and planning, and the emerging trends transforming the future transport landscape
- Skill in report writing and presenting complex concepts and data in easily-understood, graphical formats
- Experience with Excel, GIS, and/or other tools for data analysis and graphical outputs
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills in traffic/transport demand analysis and modeling (experience in this is advantageous)
- Commitment to building your industry profile and developing client and colleague relationships
- Project Management capability or a commitment to developing project management skills
