The Role

This senior role provides strategic leadership and planning expertise to support the development and delivery of Transport for Brisbane's public transport network. The successful candidate will provide guidance and advice to ensure the commercial viability of services and contribute to city-wide public transport outcomes.

The role involves overseeing workflow and resource utilisation within the Network Planning team, as well as undertaking and coordinating independent planning, research, analysis and investigations to assist in the development of individual and integrated service plans.

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • demonstrated evidence of leadership capabilities and the ability to provide direction to direct reports and across different areas of Transport for Brisbane
  • an understanding of public transport planning principles and methodologies and the ability to undertake investigations of complex planning projects
  • the ability to cultivate productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes
  • strong research, analysis and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify management issues and utilise public transport business intelligence tools
  • well-developed oral and written communication skills across a range of stakeholders
  • experience in achieving project outcomes, such as developing, managing and implementing complex planning and transport network projects
