Job Title: Senior Construction Project Manager


We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead transformational projects and manage a team of project managers. The successful candidate will have strong experience in construction project management, mentoring or leading teams, and working in diverse environments such as retail supermarkets and property.


Responsibilities
  • Lead transformational projects and mentor a team of project managers, provide clear direction, set expectations, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching of a team of Construction Project Managers.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage construction projects across the portfolio, ensuring lifecycle delivery on time and to budget in line with the latest store design kit.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders including renewal managers, equipment project managers, construction and refit teams, contractors, and shopfitters.
  • Manage the financial position of projects including cost reporting, forecasting, and variation management.
  • Oversee construction activities, attend meetings, finalize contracts, arrange agreements, conduct timely project closeouts, carry out quality inspections, and manage financial matters.
  • Overall management of all appointed contractors for construction, including site safety and resolution of on-site issues.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong experience in construction project management in an end-to-end capacity.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading a team.
  • Experience in diverse environments such as retail supermarkets and property.
  • Strong understanding of construction management methodology and principles.
  • Qualifications in Construction Management or a construction-based trade background (advantage).
  • Flexibility to travel to regional locations in SA, NT, and WA for site meetings and inspections.
  • Construction industry white card and valid driver's license.
