Project Manager - Civil Construction (Mining Sector)

Job Description

Our client is a well-established civil contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering tailored and sustainable civil solutions to leading organisations in Australia.

They are known for their hands-on approach, honest business practices, and reputation for delivering quality outcomes.

The organisation has built long-term relationships across the resources, infrastructure, and utilities sectors, offering diverse project exposure across mining and broader civil infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of works.

This role will suit someone who brings strong technical knowledge of civil construction methodologies, a focus on quality, and proven leadership ability.

Candidates living south of the river will be highly regarded.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational delivery of civil projects, ensuring compliance with client expectations, integrated management systems, and legislative requirements.
  • Track and report on project financial performance, including monthly claims and variations.
  • Lead and motivate both internal teams and subcontractors to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
  • Oversee resource allocation across plant, equipment, and personnel to achieve efficient project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, while identifying opportunities for ongoing work and future business.

Skills & Experience: Extensive experience in civil construction project delivery. Strong knowledge of contractual obligations, cost control, and project reporting. Proven experience managing construction and quality control requirements within a mining environment.

Demonstrated leadership, with the ability to motivate teams and uphold company values.
