Job Title: Financial Accountant

Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to assume the role of Financial Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who desires a challenging career in accounting, leveraging technical expertise to drive business success.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, using accounting software to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Process payroll tax submissions and superannuation contributions, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS statements, including calculations for GST, PAYG withholding, and PAYG instalments.
  • Manage intercompany transactions payments/receipts between entities in foreign currency transactions.
  • Perform timely invoicing for operational expenses, spare parts, and commissioning activities.
  • Submit accurate Capex reports with supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate physical stocktaking of operational equipment and property, plant, and equipment.
  • Provide data and analysis to support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct job costing analysis on production jobs to highlight opportunities and risks.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or actively pursuing) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar accountant role, preferably within a manufacturing or corporate environment.
