About the Opportunity

As a key member of the City of Palmerston team, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial activities of the organization. This includes financial management and reporting, ensuring the current and future sustainability of the business. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to develop and implement financial models, data analysis reports, and forecasts that inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design financial models and data analysis reports to inform business decisions
  • Review and report on the integrity of financial data and reports
  • Implement regular data integrity and analysis reporting
  • Review and validate financial system upgrades and changes
  • Prepare and analyze reports on the impact of future City of Palmerston initiatives

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a professional qualification, such as CA or CPA
  • Ability to identify and assess operational problems or trends and propose solutions
  • Highly developed computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and corporate management information systems
