Principal Role Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced educational leader to fill the Principal role at Rosebery Primary School.

The successful applicant will have a strong value-based culture, positive community participation and support, and high academic expectations.

The school is located in Palmerston, 20 minutes from the Darwin CBD, and has a current enrolment of 400 students from preschool to year 6.

The Principal will have full autonomy to manage school operations as a leader of a medium-sized workforce, with moderate organisational and human resource management demands.

The successful applicant will be supported by the Department of Education, which is on a journey to become the most improving education system in Australia.

The key responsibilities of the Principal role include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of innovative teaching and learning programs and staff resulting in improved student outcomes.
  • Managing school infrastructure, resources and finances, including the development and management of significant budgets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to improve student outcomes.
  • Working with a very active school community in a large and complex school.

The successful applicant will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package, up to 12 weeks recreation leave per annum, three weeks personal leave per annum, cultural leave, option to salary sacrifice, relocation assistance, a supportive and dynamic leadership team and peer group.

The Top End Region Principals meet for collaborative learning days twice a term to come together to grow and develop your career.

The successful applicant will have the choice between an ongoing appointment or an executive contract for 4 years.
