At Purina, we're driven by a passion for enriching the lives of pets and the people who love them. As a Veterinary Sales and Territory Development Professional, you'll play a vital role in defining and implementing key strategies to drive success in your territory.

A Day in the Life

As a skilled sales professional with a deep understanding of the veterinary industry, you'll be responsible for managing our Melbourne Metropolitan and surrounds Territory. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing tailored customer plans to meet the specific needs of each clinic, including training and education, product ranging and pricing, and in-clinic activation.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to acquire new clinics and support existing ones.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clinics to ensure their needs are met and targets are achieved.
  • Creating and implementing customized customer plans, including training and education programs, product ranging and pricing, and in-clinic activation strategies.
  • Implementing, following up, and updating customer plans to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing education and training programs for Pro Plan Veterinary Diets, Supplements & Purina products within your territory.
  • Collaborating with peers to share best practices and learnings.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.


What You'll Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need:
  • Strong leadership and team working skills.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the veterinary, animal health or pharmacy industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of veterinary products and services is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required.
