Job Title: Primary Health Care Trainee
Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Primary Health Care Trainee. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our medical clinics.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet and greet clients in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Respond to phone calls and messages in accordance with our triage process, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that patients receive timely attention.
- Book appointments using our MMex system, ensuring seamless scheduling and minimizing wait times.
- Maintain specialist calendars, ensuring that schedules are up-to-date and accurately reflect patient appointments.
- Ensure all correspondence related to GP referrals is scanned and filed in the appropriate patient chart, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
- Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
- Willingness and ability to undertake a Certificate III Business Administration qualification, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Ability to work independently, under guidance or direction, and within a multi-disciplinary team, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- Previous experience working with culturally diverse people, demonstrating cultural competence and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling sensitive and effective interactions with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Current and valid National Police Check, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
