About The Role An Administration Officer – Primary Health Care Trainee is a patient's first point of contact at one of our medical clinics.
This is an entry point role with potential for further growth and development.
The role will be supervised by experienced health professionals.
Please note you should NOT hold a Certificate III to be eligible for this position.
Overall, you will be required to ensure the patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting.
Duties First point of contact meet and greet clients.
Attend to all phone calls and messages in accordance with the ATSICHS Triage process.
Booking of appointments using the MMex system.
Maintain specialist calendars.
Ensure all correspondence related to GP referrals is scanned and filed in the appropriate patient chart.
Ensure that confidentiality is observed at all times when dealing with patient information.

Benefits Salary of $45,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Obtaining a Certificate III in Business Administration upon completion.

Required Desired Skills and Experience Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
Willingness and ability to undertake at a minimum a Certificate III Business Administration.
The ability to work independently, under guidance or direction and within a multi-disciplinary team.
Previous experience in working with culturally diverse people.
An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
Current and valid National Police Check.
