Procurement and Contract Management Expert

This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and reviewing procurement and contract management policies and strategies. Key responsibilities include leading Council's tendering, contract administration, and supplier engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage performance indicators, identify cost-saving initiatives, and coach staff across departments on procurement best practices.

Essential qualifications include tertiary education in procurement, business, contract management, or a related field, along with extensive experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management.

A strong understanding of probity, compliance, and reporting requirements is necessary. Local government experience is highly desirable for this position.

This initial 3-month engagement could be suitable for someone at Coordinator level. The successful candidate will have the capability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and category management plans.
