Business Analyst Consultant Job Description

About the Role

As a Business Analyst Consultant, you will be working closely with our director, clients, and contractors to deliver technology-enabled energy solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse energy and business data, identify process improvements, and provide valuable insights that support smarter energy management and decision-making.

This role is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity that requires a strong professional with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis
  • Conduct business process reviews and recommend ICT-enabled improvements.
  • Prepare reports on bill validation, usage trends, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and design ICT solutions.
  • Support energy efficiency and embedded network management programs.
  • Develop business documentation including requirements, workflows, and specifications.
  • Assist with tenders, procurement, and market research to guide business strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in related discipline.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or consulting, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy market rules and compliance (AER, embedded networks, state-based electricity/gas rules).
  • Proficiency in MSATS (including Child NMI management), EMP reporting, and BMS systems.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently.
