Structural Drafter

This role is a high-profile position that requires managing drafting on large projects autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex drafting projects, leading junior drafters within the project team.
  • Liaise with engineering and architectural teams to prepare and coordinate documentation.
  • Ensure structural information is accurately conveyed into drawing format for effective interpretation by builders.
  • Support the preparation of preliminary sketch designs from architectural drawings as required.
  • Provide comprehensive training and assistance to junior drafters, including technical support of Revit and other software.
  • Contribute significantly to the improvement of drafting systems and processes.

Requirements:

  • Possess a relevant TAFE qualification or equivalent.
  • Hold at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in structural drafting using Revit.
  • Show a strong understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to effectively supervise a team of Drafters.
  • Exhibit professional-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display problem-solving/analytical skills.
