Aboriginal Maternal Support Specialist for Central Australia

We are seeking an experienced female Aboriginal maternal support worker to join our Alukura Womens Health team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation.
This exciting opportunity will work in partnership with midwives to improve maternal and infant outcomes by providing social, emotional and cultural support to women in pregnancy and until six weeks following birth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships for maintaining ongoing client contact, confirming follow-up arrangements, assisting with transport, support and linkage to social services and cultural advocacy.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with midwives to provide comprehensive maternity care services
- Foster relationships with clients to ensure ongoing support and engagement
- Assist with transportation, support and linkage to social services and cultural advocacy
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working in a maternal support or similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and community needs

Benefits- Competitive salary range: $74,470 - $82,855 per annum (plus superannuation and leave loading)
- Total effective package: up to $93,879 - $103,356 per annum
- Full-time, continuous contract
