About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist - Workers Compensation to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our Liability and Compliance team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Victorian workers compensation claims.

In this role, you will effectively manage claims in accordance with state laws and policies, ensuring that injured team members receive their correct entitlements and are aware of their rights and responsibilities. You will also facilitate quick resolution of claims, engaging with stakeholders to bring about understanding, collaboration, and continuous improvement in claims management.

About You and Your Skills

To be successful in this position, you will have a strong understanding of customer service and experience interfacing with customers in difficult situations. Ideally, you will have some claims management experience, preferably in workers compensation. You will also need:

  • A qualification or certification in a health or business-related field (highly desirable)
  • Basic understanding of workers compensation claim management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Electronic Information Management systems
  • Claims Management Information systems
