Payroll Manager - Permanent Full Time

The integrity of Domain's payroll operations is essential for our success in the marketplace and for maintaining employee satisfaction. Reporting to the Head of Shared Services and Reward, the Payroll Manager will offer strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight of the payroll function while enhancing operational efficiency and managing risks associated with this vital area of the organization.

This position is accountable for the effective and efficient administration of the payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with statutory regulations and company policies across various regions.

The role will focus on ensuring financial precision, robust governance, and high employee morale and trust. It will be critical to managing and mitigating risks while ensuring that Domain's payroll strategy remains relevant and adapts to the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the complete payroll process, ensuring governance and compliance standards are upheld across all regions (Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines) Identify and execute optimization strategies to enhance efficiencies within the payroll operating model, aligning with the overall business strategy Enhance reporting capabilities, delivering insightful analyses to support informed business decisions Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the payroll team, cultivating a culture of growth and development Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including regulatory bodies and the external market)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess:

Proven experience in leading and implementing positive changes in payroll processes, systems, and data management Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performing team Collaborative mindset for developing optimization strategies that align with broader business objectives Comprehensive knowledge of payroll compliance and governance, with effective risk management skills Excellent analytical capabilities to enhance reporting and provide actionable insights Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale change initiatives to drive efficiency and optimization Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Experience managing payroll across diverse geographical locations is preferred
