As a Guidance Counsellor, you will form part of the guidance and counselling team supporting students and their learning communities in this role.
You will work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders to foster the academic and wellbeing needs of all students through the provision of proactive and preventative practices.
Supported by our student wellbeing services and support teams, you will be responsive to the diverse needs of our vibrant and complex community.

The requirement to maintain safe and healthy environments for children necessitates conducting background referencing checks for all personnel involved in direct contact with children.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse or harm of any kind, ensuring a safe environment for all.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and facilitating holistic practice initiatives to promote students' mental health and wellbeing;
- Managing and providing high-quality counselling and consulting services for students;
- Conducting psycho-educational assessments to identify and address individual needs;
- Ensuring adherence to organisational quality processes and protocols;
- Full registration as a Teacher with the relevant Teaching Council plus completed Masters in school guidance and counselling; OR full registration as a Psychologist with the relevant Professional Board;
- Successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting with a focus on prevention and intervention strategies;
- Experience in identifying and developing activities to enhance students' career development and academic success;
- Ability to administer, interpret, and report writing for psycho-educational assessments;
- Capacity to provide support and leadership in response to sensitive issues and risk management;
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment;
