IT System Administration Job Opportunity

The IT System Administrator will play a critical role in guiding the service desk team and contributing to the development of our IT strategy.

This is a key position that requires strong leadership and technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of IT infrastructure and support services.

  • Guide and delegate tasks to the service desk team
  • Contribute to the development of our IT strategy
  • Ensure IT contractors meet their obligations and provide hands-on support

Key responsibilities include administering, maintaining, and developing servers for optimum performance and high availability. This also involves maintaining the quality of desktop support for end users, configuring and verifying backups and business continuity solutions, designing networks and servers for current and future needs, procuring and receiving technology goods, managing mobile devices and maintaining asset registers, consulting with internal departments on solutions, and managing phone system hardware and configurations.

The ideal candidate will have an IT degree or relevant experience, as well as knowledge of VMware vSphere and backups, software license management skills, experience with SSO integration and identity providers, O365 administration experience, and working knowledge of firewall and router technologies.

This is a full-time position, and the ideal candidate will have project management experience, knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, and understanding of cabling standards.
