Content and Collections Manager Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the development of a comprehensive collection strategy, encompassing selection, acquisition, description, licensing, negotiation, and analysis services to build a user-focused library collection tailored to the needs of a modern, global university.

This key leadership position involves overseeing a team of professionals responsible for delivering high-quality content and collections to support research, teaching, and learning. The individual will collaborate with leaders across the library to achieve the strategic objectives of the University Library.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Agreements and Negotiations, Collection Acquisition and Activation, and Metadata teams to deliver the library's rich digital, general, and special content and collections.

Additionally, the Content and Collections Manager will work closely with senior management to ensure that library services and resources are aligned with user needs and meet the principles of strong governance and integrity.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, combined with a commitment to excellence, are essential for this role. If you possess a passion for creating a world-class collection, we look forward to hearing from you.

This is a full-time position, but flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
