We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Counsellor for Canada at Chaitanya Consultants, a leading education consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Job Summary

The Senior Counsellor will be responsible for consulting prospective students and advising them on suitable study options that best match their career goals. This is a senior-level position that requires strong communication and counselling skills, as well as the ability to work with parents and guardians to explain the benefits of studying abroad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counselling prospective students about study options, work opportunities, and requirements
  • Supporting students in applying for scholarships
  • Assisting students in conducting research, application process, and document preparation
  • Maintaining relationships with students and their parents and ensuring smooth processing
  • Maintaining reports and reporting to the manager regularly
  • Completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Suggesting marketing and promotion plans to the team
  • Assisting with the smooth operation of business
  • Participating in in-house and other training

Requirements

  • Counselling training or certifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and self-learning
  • Research-oriented
  • Able to lead a team
  • Proficient in English (verbal and writing) and in the local language
  • Result-oriented and dependable
  • Supporting attitude
  • Knowledge of application process, document requirements, and visa application
  • Bachelor's degree in any stream
  • 2 years of experience in recruiting students in Australian universities and colleges
