Lead STEM Educator (Years 7–12)

The Australian Christian College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Lead STEM Educator. This key role will be responsible for promoting the college's vision, values, and school improvement priorities, with a focus on STEM education.

This leadership position involves overseeing teachers in Mathematics, Science, and Technology areas, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching practices. As a strategic leader, you will have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives such as instructional coaching, STEM enrichment, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach STEM classes, delivering engaging and well-organized lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes, focusing on academic achievement and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with teachers to improve curriculum design, implementation, and assessment.
  • Support teachers in developing their professional skills through coaching and mentoring.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the school by leading STEM-related initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Science or Mathematics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in improving student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Excellent teaching practices aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in strategy, relationship building, and team management.
  • Proficiency in planning, data collection, analysis, and implementing strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Active Christian faith, relevant tertiary qualifications, and NESA accreditation (or eligibility).
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check.
