Imagine being part of a team that's shaping the future of insurance. As a Financial Lines Underwriting Manager in NSW/ACT, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our customers.

This role involves leading and mentoring a team of underwriters, driving business growth, and developing underwriting expertise. You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Financial Lines team, creating a dynamic operating rhythm, and driving new business pipeline development.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in financial markets, economics, or financial management
  • Minimum 5 years underwriting experience across various technical disciplines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the General Insurance industry and products

In addition to these requirements, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Understanding of Financial Lines customers, business, and commercial value proposition
  • People management experience; ability to lead & mentor a high performing team
  • Proven technical underwriting capability in Financial Lines
  • Demonstrated experience in business growth and delivering change in a complex insurance environment
