Job Title: Principal Solicitor

This role offers the opportunity to work in a practice area providing high-quality legal services. You will be part of a team that operates under the supervision and leadership of a Practice Leader (GS4). Your primary responsibility will be to provide timely and professional legal advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Practice Leader in building the capacity of a practice area, including supervising staff and conducting complex litigation.
  • Draft and settle advice on complex contracts and procurement documents.
  • Provide advice on legal aspects of proposed policies and represent the organization at court hearings.
  • Prepare and conduct more complex cases, briefing counsel as appropriate.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have at least five years post-admission experience as a lawyer and be admitted to practice law. You should also be available to commence within six weeks of acceptance of offer.
