Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, skilled and passionate Senior Psychologist to join the Darwin Psychology Services team and work across their clinics in Durack and Winnellie.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessment and treatments to clients presenting with a range of psychological, health and wellbeing issues.
  • Manage more complex client presentations and offer best practice interventions and treatment.
  • Provide formal and informal supervision to provisional psychologists and contribute to the overall development of the practice and to maintaining a high standard of clinical service delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessment and evaluation reports, treatment plans, and maintain accurate, legible case notes and records in line with best clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a grade 2 Psychologist (or equivalent).
  • Appropriate qualifications and registration with AHPRA.
  • Current Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) registration Supervisor status.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Skills and experience of providing a range of psychological assessments in a variety of service settings.
  • Ability to work with limited direction in an autonomous fashion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed organisational skills.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical ability.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary legislation, regulations and policy related to Psychology and mental health.
  • Membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) or AAPi.
