Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, skilled and passionate Senior Psychologist to join the Darwin Psychology Services team and work across their clinics in Durack and Winnellie.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessment and treatments to clients presenting with a range of psychological, health and wellbeing issues.
- Manage more complex client presentations and offer best practice interventions and treatment.
- Provide formal and informal supervision to provisional psychologists and contribute to the overall development of the practice and to maintaining a high standard of clinical service delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive assessment and evaluation reports, treatment plans, and maintain accurate, legible case notes and records in line with best clinical practice.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a grade 2 Psychologist (or equivalent).
- Appropriate qualifications and registration with AHPRA.
- Current Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) registration Supervisor status.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Skills and experience of providing a range of psychological assessments in a variety of service settings.
- Ability to work with limited direction in an autonomous fashion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills.
- Strong conceptual and analytical ability.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary legislation, regulations and policy related to Psychology and mental health.
- Membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) or AAPi.
